Waiting on Wednesday (22)

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme that was created by Breaking the Spine to spotlight a blogger's eagerly anticipated new books.

For this Waiting on Wednesday, I picked "What I Thought Was True" by Huntley Fitzpatrick.

Release Date: April 15, 2014

Book Summary: From Amazon: "Gwen Castle's Biggest Mistake Ever, Cassidy Somers, is slumming it as a yard boy on her idyllic Nantucket-esque island this summer. He's a rich kid from across the bridge in Stony Bay, and she hails from a family of fishermen and housecleaners who keep the island's summer people happy. Gwen worries a life of cleaning houses will be her fate too, but just when it looks like she'll never escape her past--or the island--Gwen's dad gives her some shocking advice. Sparks fly and secret histories unspool as Gwen spends a gorgeous, restless summer struggling to resolve what she thought was true--about the place she lives, the people she loves, and even herself--with what really is.

Huntley Fitzpatrick delivers another enticing summer read full of expectation and regret, humor and hard questions, and a romance that will make every reader swoon."

My Thoughts: I adored the characters and world that Huntley Fitzpatrick created in her first novel, "My Life Next Door." I wanted to crawl into the book and be adopted by Jase's large, happy, non-wizard Weasley-esque family. It was a believable, fresh contemporary YA romance. I'm exciting and eagerly anticipating what Huntley Fitzpatrick has in store for readers in her next novel!
